Good Evening Computech Tiger Families,

This is Principal Berrett. I hope this message finds you and your families well, and with the current stay at home orders beginning tonight at midnight, please do what you can to keep yourselves and others safe and healthy. I would like to share that this order does not change anything about our current distance learning, or our current small cohort of students on campus. However, it is critical that before coming to campus for any reason, all individuals complete the self-health screener , and if they answer yes to any of the questions, they cannot be on our campus.

Next week is the end of the semester as we enter week 16. This week we will begin on Monday with even block schedule. Students will be attending periods 2, 4, 6, and 8 tomorrow, and then attending odd block periods on Tuesday.

Students, please communicate with your teachers this week to make sure you know what you need to do to be successful as we finish this semester strong. Please look through your assignments in ATLAS and read your teacher’s syllabus and directions, and reach out if you have questions. As a reminder, all teachers have office hours during the week during which time they are able to offer support.

Students can access Tutor.com outside of class hours by logging into Clever and selecting tutor.com. Our ASES After School Program is available through Teams each day between 2:45 and 5:30pm.

Congratulations to our newly elected student body officers.

Computech spirit wear and gear is available for purchase online. You can order items by going to computechstudents.com and clicking on the banner on the main page where it says “Student Store.”

Our Tiger Pantry remains available to students that have needs, including clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies. That is found on our school website under “For Students.”

To check out books from our Library, students can go to the Library tab on our website, or call or text our librarian, Mrs. Ward, at 559-549-3758.

We are excited to share that construction on our main office and parking lot is complete. In the event that you need to visit our office, you are able to park directly in front in our new visitor parking lot off Belgravia. Our office remains open between 8am and 4pm. If you are in need of support, you can call us at 457-2640.

Finally, Fresno Unified made adjustments to next semester’s school schedules just prior to the Thanksgiving Break. Those schedules are posted on Fresno Unified’s website. We recently were provided with our specialty school schedule and it is attached to this communication . The class schedule will remain the same Tuesday through Friday each day, with odd periods taking place on Tuesdays and Thursday, and even schedules on Wednesday and Friday. Our Monday schedule will begin for students at 9am with advisory class for 30 minutes online. Following advisory, students will be working on asynchronous assignments independently. When Covid safety protocols allow, there will be a 3 hour time period where designated student cohorts are able to come in person on Mondays between 9:30am and 12:30pm. Those cohorts cannot begin until we are at least in red tier as a county. We will begin the second semester in distance learning. You can expect more detail about the schedule later this week in a separate communication.

Your quote of the week from Albert Einstein , "Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value." As we learn more, we increase in our capacity to serve, and our ability to make a positive impact on the world. Tigers, keep striving to be the best you. We care about you and our goal is to help you to reach your potential, but we need your best efforts to achieve great things, individually and as a community. Keep learning and growing and let’s finish this semester strong. Have a great week!
