Good Evening Computech Tiger Families,
This is Principal Berrett hoping that you have had a great weekend. We are now headed into week 36 with just 3 weeks left in the school year. Students and families, now is the time to communicate with your teachers about your progress in classes.
Monday we have advisory at 9am and asynchronous learning following, with small targeted cohorts from 9:30am-12:30pm. Please remember that students have classes every day, whether in person or online.
Our 4th quarter sports have their final competitions this week, with games on Monday and Thursday. For more information, visit our athletics page at www.computechstudents.com/athletics. There you can find schedules for each of the sports, along with contact information for coaches. As a reminder for any and all spectators, you must wear a mask to events and socially distance with anyone outside of your household. Students are only permitted to watch if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
As we come to the close of the school year, we would like to let you know that students that are remaining in Fresno Unified are able to keep their laptops during the summer. Please take good care of those devices as they will be what you will continue to use for the upcoming school year.
This week students that are on campus in cohorts A and B will begin turning in books to the library. For students that are in cohort C, families are able to return books to the office during office hours from 8am to 4pm beginning June 1st through the last day of school, June 11th.
As a Fresno Unified District policy, we do not hold promotion ceremonies in middle schools. However, at Computech it is a tradition that we have awards at the end of the year for our students. We will have a drive through event on the final two days of school, June 10th and 11th, during which time families will be able to come and pick up awards for your student. We will have more details about that event coming out by the end of this week.
Our main office is open between 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday. If you are in need of support, you can call us at 457-2640. In the event that you are coming to the office, please park in the visitor’s lot directly in front of the office.
As a reminder, next Monday is a holiday in observance of Memorial Day and students will not have class or assignments on May 30th.
In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, our quote of the week from world-renowned master architect, I. M. Pei, "Success is a collection of problems solved." Each day we are confronted with challenges, some large and some small. Success is a matter of solving those problems, for yourself and for others, in an effort to make each day a little better than the last, and to improve our communities. In this last year, we have all had plenty of challenges that we have overcome and by so doing, have achieved a level of success. We are proud of all of our Tigers and encourage you to continue to be problem solvers.
Have a great week Tigers!
