PictureDistance Learning Schedule
Hello and a big Tiger welcome to the ASES After School Program at Computech where you can go online after regular school hours and connect with our awesome Fresno State Teaching Fellow Tutors! They are ready to help you, Monday through Friday, with math, science, history, English, Spanish and French.

If you want to access the ASES After School Program, please go to this link and have your parent or guardian fill out the survey. That gives us permission to put you into a specific Team based on your grade level so you will be getting help with your classmates.

Once you are put into your After School Team, much like in your classroom Teams, you will receive an invitation every day to join us for homework and tutorial help. You do NOT have to come every day; you can use the After School Program just when you need it. And maybe it feels nice to just work along with your classmates even if you don’t need help!

Since we usually have a lot of requests for math help, the first hour of tutorial, 2:45-3:45, will be dedicated specifically to math. After 3:45, we will help with any and all subjects, and will continue with math during that time as well. The tutors have all the same textbooks and workbooks that the students have. Our program concludes at 5:30. Students can log in, get help and log out when they want. They do not have to stay until 5:30.

Please follow the same classroom protocols after school as you would during your regular classes. Come with a good attitude, raise your hand when you need help, mind your language, and treat each other and our tutors with respect and kindness. We will do the same!

Also be aware that the Fresno Unified monitoring system, Gaggle, monitors all our technology after school as well, including what is downloaded onto devices, items that are shared through chat, posting, emails, and live meetings.  Please make sure that all of your activity after school is appropriate! All our tutoring sessions are recorded.

We’re looking forward to helping you succeed at Computech! Go Tigers!

Beth Contreras
8th Grade Tutor
Hi Tigers! I’m Beth Contreras. You can call me Beth or Ms. Contreras. I am a Fresno State student double majoring in Sociology and English Literature with a career goal of becoming a policymaker and/or an attorney. I'm from Visalia, a city south of Fresno. I currently live in Fresno with my boyfriend who is a physics/math major. I have one younger sister who attends high school in Visalia. I have two pets: a two-year old calico cat named Coco (she's super mean) and a Jack Terrier mix dog named Kirby (he's super nice).
Favorite dessert: I love ice cream cake; it's the best of two desserts in one!
Favorite pastime in quarantine: A lot of video games, especially Animal Crossing!
Favorite quote: "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." – Malcolm X
If you could have a Super Power, what would it be? I would love to have magic as a superpower with the ability to move elements and stuff like the Avatar!

Hi Tigers! I’m Maddie Nelson. You can call me Ms. Maddie or Ms. Nelson. Favorite pastime in quarantine: During quarantine I took to sewing! It’s so fun to upcycle my clothes and make new ones, too.
Favorite quote: “It is not only for what we do that we are held responsible, but also for what we do not do.” – Molière

If you could have a Super Power, what would it be? I would want to be able to read people’s minds. That way I could know what makes people upset and help them fix it!

If you could have a Super Power, what would it be? I thought about this a lot and it would be teleportation. I like the idea of being able to be anywhere in the world instantly.
